Maison Bruno Michel is above all the story of a committed man, in love with the land, and concerned with protecting it. Winemaker and agrobiologist, Bruno Michel started in the nursery in the early 80s. But for this wine enthusiast, the desire to extract the best grapes from his plants to make his own champagnes was quickly felt. .

Thus in 1985, a new chapter opens. Bruno Michel decides to create his estate with his wife Catherine, in Pierry. A small typically Champagne village, a few kilometers south of Epernay.

The family vineyard now covers more than 17 hectares, and has no less than 45 plots. Like the Assemblées cuvées, the vines are half planted with Chardonnay, and the rest with Meunier and Pinot noir.

The complexity and richness of the clay-limestone and chalky soils that make up the Bruno Michel estate allow the expression of blended wines and vintages from authentic plots.

It is out of sight, in vaulted 13th century cellars, in the heart of the village of Pierry, that the House's wines age. The chalk cellars dug by the Benedictine monks bring to the wines a constant freshness and natural humidity, conducive to the expression of the most beautiful aromas.

In the history of Maison Bruno Michel, generations follow one another but the love for the land and the wines remains intact. Today, the children of Catherine and Bruno, Pauline, Clément and Guillaume continue to write history. With the same philosophy, the same passion, a touch of dynamism and youth in addition.

Concerned about leaving their own land for their children, Catherine and Bruno Michel first turned to biodynamics. Mainly out of curiosity. But also out of a taste for adventure. They did not stop there and chose to go further in their approach, by engaging with their team, towards organic farming. An exciting and demanding job, which resulted in 2004 in Ecocert certification.
