WEEKNIGHT POURS

Two Whites, Two Reds · France & Italy

01
Cellier des Demoiselles Chardonnay

IGP Pays d’Oc · Languedoc, France · 100% Chardonnay · Machine Harvested at Night

◆ Chardonnay grown on clay-limestone with a limestone glaze in the south of France — picked at night to preserve freshness, then fermented clean in steel. Pale in colour with green highlights and an expressive nose of grapefruit, acidulous notes and a touch of white fruit.

◆ Very fresh in the mouth, pleasantly light and well balanced — this is a Chardonnay that’s easy to love without needing a wine education to enjoy it. No heavy oak, no fuss.

◆ The kind of bottle you reach for on a Tuesday with pasta, grilled prawns or a simple veal dish. Serve at 12°C and drink young while it’s at its most vivid.

02
Tenimenti Civa Pinot Grigio Ronc Laris

DOC Friuli · Friuli Colli Orientali, Italy · 100% Pinot Grigio · “Ponca” Soils

◆ Grown on the ancient marl and sandstone “Ponca” soils of Friuli Colli Orientali — one of Italy’s best addresses for white wine. Harvested in the cool of early September morning, soft pressed, fermented at 16–18°C for 15 days.

◆ Pale lemon with amber reflections. The nose opens with intensity: citrus, apricot and linden flowers. On the palate it’s medium-bodied with great balance — ripe cherry, golden apple and mango with a nice sapidity and a soft finish that lingers.

◆ A Pinot Grigio that goes well beyond the category’s reputation for blandness. Versatile enough for white meat, fish, cured meats or egg dishes — and interesting enough to drink on its own.

03 Terra Vallona IGP Comte Tolosan Rouge

IGP Comte Tolosan · South West France · Merlot & Cabernets · 14%

◆ From Cave du Marmandais in the heart of the French South West — a co-operative with deep roots in the region and a straightforward philosophy: make wines that are genuinely enjoyable without overthinking them.

◆ Merlot leads, Cabernet supports. The result is a crisp, fruit-forward red with strawberry and blackcurrant on the nose, a touch of spice, and a palate that’s round, generous and built on fresh fruit rather than heavy tannin.

◆ This is the bottle you open when dinner is already on the table and nobody wants to wait. Great with red meat, cheese, or anything off the barbecue. Best at 16–18°C.

04
Menicucci Montepulciano d’Abruzzo

DOC Montepulciano d’Abruzzo · Abruzzo, Italy · 100% Montepulciano · 13.5%

◆ Montepulciano d’Abruzzo is one of Italy’s most reliable red grapes — deep colour, generous fruit, soft tannins, and a price that never makes you wince. Menicucci harvest mid-September, macerate for 7–8 days for colour and structure, then age three months on fine lees.

◆ Deep, intense ruby with violet highlights. The bouquet is pleasant and fruity, and on the palate it’s dry and round with a full-bodied finish, soft tannins and just enough acidity to keep it fresh and food-friendly.

◆ The closer of this pack — weight, warmth and character without demanding anything of you in return. Pasta or red meat is all it needs. Serve at 18–20°C in a decent-sized glass.
